(April 2, 2003 - Fort Worth, Texas) - AC Electronics, a leading US
manufacturer of compact electronic ballasts, announced today that its
90-30™ Extreme Temperature Compact Ballast has a temperature rise
capability of up to 50°C (122°F). This capability allows the
90-30™ to operate in the hottest ceiling fixtures where ballast operating
temperatures can reach up to 90°C (194°F) This is because 90-30™
operates at only 40°C at room ambient temperature - much cooler than any
other major competitive ballast.
"The reason we call this our 90-30™ ballast is because it handles
temperature extremes - it has a maximum case operating temperature of 90°C
and a minimum case operating temperature of -30°C" states Dwayne Hillman,
president of AC Electronics. "There is no other major competitive ballast in
the industry that can handle this temperature range. Our 90-30™ Extreme
Temperature Compact Ballast backs up these claims with up to a 5 year parts and
installation labor warranty - the longest in the industry."
